The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions - Circle Track Division held state motocross races on June 15 and 16 and a city race on June 29, both a Twin Cities Raceway.

The American Legion Twins notched a 13-2 victory over host West on Tuesday in Anchorage.
The game, scheduled for nine innings, went just five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. It was the third straight game the Twins invoked the mercy rule.
The good weather has given way to much-needed rain on the Kenai Golf Course. The watering crew gets a needed break and the fairways finally get their share of water, settling dust and creating better playing conditions.
The 10-kilometer Run for the Bay Spit Run was held in Homer on Saturday. The race attracted more than 300 participants. The results follow:

Two things were apparent in the Peninsula Oilers' 9-1 Alaska Baseball League victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage on Monday.

The Peninsula Oilers were swept out of Fairbanks, falling 5-4 to the Alaska Goldpanners on Sunday at Growden Memorial Park.
The Goldpanners completed the three-game sweep with a four-run rally that took place without the ball leaving the infield.
