The Peninsula Oilers finished up a five-game road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Mat-Su Miners on Thursday in Alaska Baseball League play. The Oilers, who finished the road trip 2-3, remain in the top spot in the American League with a 4-4 league record.

The Peninsula Oilers finished off a four-game Alaska Baseball League road series with the Anchorage Bucs with a 5-2 loss Wednesday night at Mulcahy Field in Anchorage. The two squads ended up with an even 2-2 split in three days against each other.

This past Sunday, 30 Kenai Golf Association members participated in the second KGA Tournament of the season. Scott Woodland won Low Gross with a score of 81. Low Net was won by Chuck Rupenthal with a net score of 71.
