Gregory Smith and Hanna Young took the Homer Triathlon on Saturday in Homer. Smith finished the 1,000-yard swim, 15-mile bike and 5-mile run in 1 hour, 44 minutes and 55 seconds, while Young finished at 1:52:47.

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions - Circle Track Division will hold races Saturday at 6 p.m. at Twin City Raceway. Gates open at 3 p.m. and qualifying begins at 4 p.m. The rain makeup, if necessary, will be Sunday at 1 p.m.
