The Southcentral Conference tourney in Homer promised some big upsets. It delivered Thursday. The seventh-seeded Cordova girls knocked off second-seeded Grace Christian 44-43 on Thursday. Cordova moves into the semifinals with a 6:30 p.m.

The Cook Inlet Academy boys basketball team reached the finals of the Peninsula Conference tournament with a 58-47 overtime victory over Nikolaevsk on Thursday. The Eagles square off with defending champion Seldovia for the conference title at 6:30 p.m.

Peninsula athletes Michaela Hutchison and Allie Ostrander will be honored at the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight at the Anchorage Museum auditorium. The event will be from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
