Sidey to discuss stock outlook

Edward Jones Investments Kenai office will present "Time" magazine political writer Hugh Sidey and a panel of financial experts to discuss their outlook on the nation, economy and financial markets in 2003.

Broadcast over a two-way connection, the group will explore possible results of corporate reform, congress's role in economic recovery, whether investors can regain losses, and opportunities in today's market for every investor.

Associated General Contractors elect officers

Phil Anderson of Fairbanks has been elected president of the Associated General Contractors of Alaska at the association's recent annual meeting in Anchorage.

Anderson, of Exclusive Landscaping and Paving in Fairbanks, will serve for the next calendar year along with an executive board composed of vice president Roxanna Horschel, secretary Terry Fike, treasurer Robbie Capps, immediate past president Marie Wilson, and members at large, Paul Ross and Dick Engebretson.

The Associated General Contractors of Alaska is a statewide trade association for companies in the construction-contracting business including buildings, highways and utilities, heavy industrial and specialty areas. The association has more than 600 members statewide.
