My view on Patrice Kohl (Clarion, Dec. 24): Wait until you have been in Alaska for a few more years before you judge us. There is no way for you to claim to know us in one year.
Some people never really know what makes Alaskans tick, being proud to be here and see the beauty around us and still have the freedom to hunt fish in the greatest state in U.S.A.
And if you dig deep enough, the people who complain the loudest have just moved here from the Lower 48. They are the ones who want to buy land and post it so that they can have privacy, not knowing that in Alaska, as long as no local laws are broken, the freedom up here is unbelievable.
