Long enlists in Army

Soldotna resident Christina R. Long has joined the United States Army under the delayed entry program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year. She is scheduled to report to Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo., for active duty March 1.

She is the daughter of Linda Cooper.

Long is a 1998 graduate of Soldotna High School and received an associate degree in 2001 from Kenai Peninsula College.

Flood graduates

Former Kenai resident Rich Flood graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a bachelor of fine arts degree Dec. 15.

Flood is a 1996 graduate from Skyview High School. He has family in Kenai and Anchorage.
