ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A woman died Tuesday morning in a four-vehicle accident on the New Seward Highway in south Anchorage.
Anchorage police said Diane Quinton, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Quinton was driving north in the right lane and she lost control of her Chevrolet Blazer. She struck a Subaru in the left lane and both vehicles crossed the median into oncoming southbound traffic.
The Blazer hit a van, then collided head-on with a trash compactor truck.
The driver of the van was treated and released at an area hospital. No one else was injured.
