Former Kenai resident Lila Ardell Pace died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, after along illness at her home in Willow, Okla.
Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Willow Church of Christ. Minister Jim Foster will officiate. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery under the direction of People’s Cooperative Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pace was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Greer County, Okla. to Etta Jewell Stout Hood and William Milton Hood. She attended Eastview School, graduated from Mangum High School in 1949 and attended Abilene Christian College.
She married Raymond Wade Pace in Mangum, Okla. on Dec. 27, 1951, and they lived in Kenai for 26 years. They retired to Willow in 1990. Ardell enjoyed traveling and being with family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Pace was preceding in death by her parents; son, Bobby Wade Pace in 1965; and brother, Wilburn Elmo Hood.
She is survived by her husband, of Willow; sons, Perry Dean of Stockdale, Texas and Tony Lee and his wife, Rhonda of Kenai; brother, Leon Hood of Mangum, Okla.; sister, Janice Bell of Willow; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by People’s Cooperative Funeral Home in Willow.
