Former peninsula resident Beverly Ann Love died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at her home in Anchorage. She was 68.

No services are planned per her request. Mrs. Love's ashes will be spread in the Cooper Lake area of the Kenai Peninsula.

Mrs. Love was born on July 4, 1939 in Colville, Wash., to Adelma and Ruben Tayloe. She attended school in Chewelah and Spokane, Wash., and Kenai Peninsula College.

Mrs. Love married R.W. "Bob" Love in McCall, Idaho on July 23, 1967. She worked in restaurant management for W.T. Grant Co. of Lewiston, Idaho and latere became partner with husband in Pan Alaska Adjusters in Kenai, and Love and Associates in Anchorage, formed after purchase of Toplis and Harding Inc. branch from Lloyds of London 1987, until her retirement due to cancer in 2002.

She served as Biliken Chapter president, state first vice president and state legislative chairwoman for Business Professional Women. Mrs. Love was a founding member of the Peninsula Oilers Babseball Club, a founding member of St. Francis By the Sea Episcopal Churchin Kenai, and a member of the Alaska Adjuster Association and Insurance Association of Alaska.

In 1981, she was claims examiner for National Union Insuran Co. when she earned the comapny's highest production award. She was cited by the president of the Hawaiian Phillipine community for her compassion, dedication to integrity and respect for the Phillipino people she served.

She served as a volunteer aide at Kenai Central High School and as a counselor and interim PE director where she brought organization from choas and integration of new Alaska Native village students. She chaparoned the KCHS cheerleading squad. With her Business Professional Women and cheerleaders, she organized and operated the first Peninsula Oilers concessions.

Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Jack Tayloe.

She is survived by husband, Bob; daughters, Nora Bell and husband, Mark, of Soldotna, Monti Huffman and husband, Jack Olive, of Anchorage, Vicki Horton and husband, Bob, of Spokane, Leanne Love of Lewiston, and Andrea Wolverton of Orofino, Idaho; brother, Frank Tayloe and wife, Peggy, of Billings, Mon.; granddaughter Serena Hauser and husband, Shawn, and their children Sonya, Alana, Kristen and Michael; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations in Mrs. Love's memory may be made to Denali Hospice, 3935 Reka Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508; the American Cancer Society; or a charity of choice.
