Jon Kruger cleans out his bird feeder in his Kenai yard before refreshing the seeds for the new year last weekend. He said he sees a lot of black-capped chickadees, redpolls and finches. "I like the magpies, too," he said. "They don't go in the feeder but eat on the ground beneath it."
