Humphrey, Nusunginya marry in Kenai

Melissa Humphrey and Vincent Nusunginya were married at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Pastor Brad Cason officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Bonnie Humphrey of Soldotna and Aaron Humphrey of Nikiski. She graduated from the Connections correspondence program in 2001 and works at Coffees and Creams in Soldotna. She wore an ivory strapless gown and carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

The groom is the son of Vern and Sharon Nusunginya of Kenai. He works at the Peninsula Clarion.

The matron of honor was Katie Cason. She wore a red, spaghetti-strap, satin dress and carried a white rose. The bridesmaids were Claire DeForge and Angela Humphrey, who wore gold, spaghetti-strap, shantung dresses and carried single red roses.

Ryan Simons was the best man, and James Brown and Lisa Clore were the groom's attendants.

The music for the processional was "Only Hope," by Switchfoot.

A reception was held at the center with a cream-colored cake that had orange leaves and fresh flowers.

The couple honeymooned in a cabin in Homer and lives in Kenai.
