ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A woman was killed and several other people injured late Friday when the car she was driving collided with a truck on Minnesota Drive, police said.

Witnesses told police the car driven by 22-year-old Desha Gray was going fast southbound on Minnesota at about 11:45 p.m. when it struck a truck headed north that was making a left turn.

Michael Saimaniese, a 16-year-old passenger in Gray's car, was taken to Alaska Regional Hospital with severe injuries. His condition was not immediately known.

Two other passengers sustained less severe injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.

One of the drivers ignored a traffic light at the intersection and caused the collision, but police aren't sure at this time which driver was at fault.
