CONWAY, Ark. -- A Conway couple reached new heights in their relationship when they tied the knot 7,500 feet over Greers Ferry Lake.

Daniel Cunningham and Sherry Cobb were married Dec. 27 by Justice of the Peace Jesse Hatfield in a four-passenger plane flown by their friend, Allen Shaver.

"We just thought it would be different, memorable," Cobb said.

"I'm the adventurous one," she said.

They also had considered getting married in Las Vegas, she said.

The pilot said he had never flown a wedding plane before.

"I think it's neat," he said.

Cobb said she was more nervous about the plane ride than about getting married.

Hatfield said he had never performed a wedding in an airplane before.

When the couple asked him to perform the ceremony, "I thought it was awesome," he said.

The couple had not decided on honeymoon plans yet but said they were planning a trip to Florida in February.
