PERSONAL NOTES: Older brother to NASCAR drivers Kenny Wallace and Mike Wallace. First job was fixing vacuum cleaners for his uncle. Won the 1983 American Speed Association championship before moving to NASCAR. Once crashed while waving to the crowd after winning a race. An avid pilot who is licensed to fly both jets and helicopters. Would be a commercial pilot if he wasn't racing. Holds the Winston Cup record for winning at least one race in each of the past 16 years.
