Santa and Mrs. Claus enjoy holiday visit at Nikiski Senior Center

Posted: Tuesday, January 06, 2004

On Dec. 15, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus came to the Nikiski Senior Center. We had a nice comfortable place for Santa and the Missus. For the children and parents, we had cookies, candy canes and a cup of warm chocolate. We saw many old friends we hadn't seen in awhile and made lots of new friends. Heidi Dominick was the winner of our door prize.

We especially want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Aitken for their part in making this year's visit with Santa a huge success. Other helpers we could not do without were Carol, Janet, Cherie, Anna Mae, Dorothy, Jody, Jeannine, Ray and Marian N., David and Loreta. Our cookie makers were June B., Delores, Anna Mae, Nancy D., Barbara B. and Nedra.

Our success for this special event was due to good publicity provided by our local radio stations, the Peninsula Clarion, Nikiski Elemen-tary, North Star Elementary and M & M Market. We sincerely thank you for your continued support.

Santa said he and Mrs. Santa had such a great time they will plan on coming by again next Christmas.

Thanks again to all,

Retha Hall
