Soldotna Elementary

Karlene Meyer's sixth-graders surprised their foster grandparent, Grandma Johnnie, with luncheon and presents to thank her for her work at the school. The students raised funds for the surprise and also to purchase presents for a family in need. The class then took a field trip to Fred Meyer to choose gifts . The students would like to thank Fred Meyer for its help.

Good deed doers are Cassi Hollingsworth, Nicole Reid, Tiffany Kline, Ashley Lloyd, Tristan Wright, Kobie Talbott, Kelsey Junkert, Elizabeth Keyes, Julee Anna Van Velzor, Brittany Cramer, Cody Cockcroft, Crissy Dowell, Charlie Tuck, Bree Harrison, Jason Phipps, Blake Thibodeaux, Joelle Wearly, Rebecca Holt, Ian Eide, Coty Anderson, Lauretto Price, Adrianna Marquez and Tyler Morgan. The staff would like to thank these students for helping out.

The school was able to provide Christmas surprises for 22 families from the school community. The staff would like to thank head custodian, Patty Rich, and school nurse, Tammy Dudley, for spearheading the project. Thanks also to parents, students and community members for helping financially.
