Alaska State Troopers identified the victim in Wednesday's fatal car crash on the Sterling Highway as Catherine Williams, 60, of Anchor Point.

According to the troopers, Williams lost control of her 1990 Subaru Legacy, hit the guardrail on her side of the road and then crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge one-ton truck. Williams was ejected from her vehicle and died at the scene. Troopers said she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The truck's driver, 27-year-old Anthony Jennison of Palmer, sustained minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The collision occurred at mile 61.9 of the Sterling Highway, just south of the access to Kelly and Peterson Lakes. Exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
