Alaska resident Lena Lorene Rauh, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Seward Providence Mountain Haven in Seward.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Seward Senior Center. Mrs. Rauh's cremated remains will be scattered in Urbana, Mo.
Mrs. Rauh was born Sept. 2, 1922, to Charles Uptergrove and Lena Helen (Moore), in Oklahoma.
The family wrote: "Lena was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She brought joy to all who knew her. She loved Alaska and made her home in Seward. She had many friends and family who loved her dearly and she will be sorely missed."
Mrs. Rauh was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Rauh; son, Jack Rauh; daughters, Carolynn Rauh and Patsy Buckles; grandsons, Dewey Buckles and Seth Burns; and granddaughters, Misty Buckles and Bobbie Myers.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Taylor, of Soldotna; son, Tracy Rauh, of Soldotna; son, Larry Rauh, of Urbana, Mo.; son, Terry Rauh; and son, Donald Rauh, of Seward.
