Oklahoma gets past Huskies

NORMAN, Okla. -- Hollis Price scored a career-high 33 points and No. 9 Oklahoma withstood a second-half rally to hand third-ranked Connecticut its first loss of the season, 73-63 Tuesday night.

The Sooners (9-2) won their 30th straight home game, the second-longest streak in the nation behind Brigham Young's 42.

No. 11 Florida 74, No. 7 Mississippi St. 66

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Justin Hamilton scored a season-high 22 points and Matt Bonner and Brett Nelson made key plays in the second half as Florida's seniors led the Gators to their eighth straight victory.

No. 10 Illinois 76, Minnesota 70

MINNEAPOLIS -- Brian Cook scored 25 points and Sean Harrington added 22 as the Illini began their quest for a third straight Big Ten title.

No. 13 Missouri 88, Centenary 58

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Rickey Paulding scored 21 points and Jimmy McKinney added 12 for the Tigers (9-1), who shot 51 percent overall. Arthur Johnson had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Missouri, his sixth double-double of the season.

No. 17 Wake Forest 98, Elon 56

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Josh Howard scored 18 points and Eric Williams added 15 for the Demon Deacons (10-0), who shot a season-high 55 percent.

Richmond 67, No. 21 Xavier 59

CINCINNATI -- Jeff Myers had 15 of his 18 points on 3-pointers and Richmond overcame a 14-point second-half deficit to end the Musketeers' 17-game home winning streak.

No. 24 Marquette 60, Saint Louis 54

ST. LOUIS -- Scott Merritt had 14 points and 11 rebounds as the Golden Eagles snapped a two-game losing streak.

Robert Jackson added 13 points and seven rebounds for Marquette (9-3, 1-1 Conference USA), while Dwayne Wade, who came in averaging 24.2 points, had six on 3-for-10 shooting.

Marque Perry had 20 points, six rebounds and five assists for Saint Louis (6-6, 0-1, which had won five straight at home.
