Kenai chamber to meet today

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will meet today at noon at Paradisos restaurant in Kenai. Gen. Stephen Korenek, commander of the Alaska Army National Guard, and Wayne Rush, with Emergency Services, will discuss homeland security. For more information, call 283-7989.

Workshop for small businesses scheduled

The Small Business Development Center will hold a workshop from 1 to 4 p.m today at the SBDC office, Suite 16, in the Red Diamond Center on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Public health center cancels clinics

The Kenai Public Health Center clinics today in Kenai and Thursday at the Elks Club in Soldotna are canceled and hours through Friday are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 335-3400.

Trappers to hold meeting

Red Cross plans CPR and First Aid classes

The American Red Cross will hold CPR and First Aid classes Thursday and Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. The $58 class will include first aid with adult, child and infant CPR. It will be held at The Kenai River Center in Soldotna. To preregister, call Deb Holle at 262-4541.

RC and D to hold annual meeting

The Kenai Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development District will hold its annual meeting Thursday at 3 p.m. at 110 Trading Bay Drive, Suite 160, in Kenai. Fish and Game advisory committee to meet

The Cooper Landing Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet Monday and Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Cooper Landing Ambulance Hall to comment and vote on upper Cook Inlet fisheries proposals for the February 2002 Board of Fisheries meeting.
