Kristin Gebhardt and Tony Gillham
Kristin Gebhardt and Tony Gillham of Soldotna were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at the Soldotna Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Bruce Hardesty officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Evelyn Gebhardt of Kasilof. She wore a strapless Maggie Soltero, featuring a laced back and white fox fur stole and carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies with roses. She is a graduate of Skyview High School and attends Kenai Peninsula Community College. She is employed at First National Bank in Soldotna.
The maid of honor was Naomi Miller. Kari Faigle, Donna Hemmbrott, Sarah Heilig, cousin of bride, and Leah Gillham, sister of groom, were the bridesmaids. They wore creamy yellow empire-waist gowns and carried bouquets of yellow roses accented with navy blue organdy ribbon.
The groom is the son of former Soldotna residents Ron and Pamela Gillham, of Portland, Ore. Dennis Dix was the best man, and Dusty Smith, Anthony Hannivold and Chris Johnson were the groom's attendants. The groom wore a black tuxedo with a rose boutonniere. He is a graduate of Skyview High School and attended college in Arizona. He is being deployed to Iraq as a corporal in the Alaska Marine Echo Company 4th Recon Battalion.
The couple's grandparents and relatives from Minnesota, Arizona and California were in attendance.
Special music for the ceremony was provided on bagpipes played by Taylor Karnikis.
After the ceremony, the reception was held at the Alaska Legends Lodge. The reception had a nautical theme with a four-tier wedding cake decorated with sea shells.
The couple honeymooned on a Mexican cruise and in Florida in between two hurricanes.
The couple lives near Soldotna.
