Friendship Mission is becoming a reality because of the generosity of many churches, organizations and individuals. We thank all the people who have given to the Mission and allowed God to use them in attaining his goal of making a refuge for men who need spiritual and physical help at this time in their lives.
We want to thank our board of directors Larry Harvey, Marian Nickelson, Dave Arrested, Kelly Wolf, Paul Hartley, Fred Swen and David Hall for the spiritual, physical and financial support they have given to the Mission.
Groups that came this summer to help with cleanup, demolition and construction were World Changers, a junior high group from Rabbit Creek Community Church of Anchorage and nine young adults from Adilaide, Australia, the Nikiski football team (it was not required, and 25 students and coaches showed up to work), a group of men from Kenai Christian Church, members of the Nikiski Nazarene Church and a group of Methodist ladies.
Some of the supporters include FBC of Port Nikiski, North Kenai Chapel, Kenai Christian Church and the Alien Youth group, Soldotna Elk Lodge No. 2706, Kenai VA Clinic, Nikiski Nazarene Church, Mount Redoubt Baptist Church, Bear Paw Deli, Women’s Class FBC of Kenai, Arctic Winter Games, Bridges Community Resource Network Inc., Forest Oil Corp., Spenard Builders Supply, Homer Electric, Nikiski Community Services, American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Richard and Donna Gunter, Bob and Connie Thurman, Mark and Judi Price, John White, Heidi Hall, John McCarthy, Gib and Retha Veal, Ken Puch, Jerri Wik, Mike Sounat, David Andrews, Ward and Denise Romans, Karin Jones, Patty Hert, Redoubt Homemakers FCE and many anonymous donors.
Donations have come from all over the lower United States, such as several churches in Louisiana and Illinois, a rescue mission in Florida, individuals from Idaho, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Washington state. There have been people who stopped by and dropped off food, clothing, Bibles, spiritual books and other useful items. We thank all of your generosity and faithfulness.
Please know we appreciate all the help that has been given and the friends that we have made since we have been here.
