ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Anchorage police are looking for two men who invaded a home Thursday morning.

Two armed men broke into the downtown home shortly after midnight.

Investigators say a woman inside, Sylvia Caldwell, 43, heard her front doorbell ring but found no one there.

After closing and locking the front door, she heard a crash at the back door and was confronted by two man armed with handguns who demanded jewelry and cash.

Caldwell was ordered into the bathroom. One man rifled through the home while the other stayed with Caldwell in the bathroom.

The robbers fled the apartment empty-handed and Caldwell was not injured.

Police described the suspects as black men. One was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and thin. The other was about 6 feet tall and about 225 to 240 pounds, wearing a brown or gray hooded jacket. An older model cream-colored, two-door sedan similar to an Oldsmobile Cutlass was seen leaving the home.
