Teen Center appreciates volunteers, community support for its dances
The Kenai Teen Center is glad to announce that our middle school and high school dances took place on Dec. 27 and 28. We at the Teen Center determined the event to be a great success. We would like to take the time to thank our adult chaperones and businesses who donated their time and services to help us pull this event off.
Chuck Smalley has generously contributed to several Teen Center events, and we are grateful for his continued willingness to participate! We would like to thank Kendra Steiner and Amber McGlasson for volunteering their time as dance referees at the middle school dance. KSRM did a great job with providing music and prizes for both dances. Special thanks to Debbie Wells for her disc jockeying the events.
Wonderful support was given to us by the Candy Bouquet in Soldotna and The Pizza Boyz located in the Soldotna and Kenai area. Their services gave the youth in our community an extra treat for their attendance and enthusiasm in the dance contest.
We hope that your were pleased with the activities and that we will continue to have your support. Parents are always welcome to drop by during our dances and check out what is going on.
We would also like to thank the students who attended the dance and the parents who support them. The positive, responsible attitude shown by the students led to an incident-free event and a great time for everyone. We look forward to our next middle school dance sponsored by the Peninsula Winter Games from 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 31 here at the Teen Center. See you there!
