Police warn of counterfeit bills
The Soldotna Police Department wishes to warn the public that over recent days a growing number of counterfeit $20 bills have been passed to businesses in the Kenai-Soldotna area. Chief John Lucking said that the bills are generally of poor quality and encourages shopkeepers and clerks to carefully scrutinize any $20 bills they might receive in trade. The fake bills have brighter color than real bills, and are made of a poorer quality paper.
Enstar nears deal on natural gas storage
Enstar Natural Gas Co. is in the final stages of negotiations with a TransCanada Corp. subsidiary on an agreement to build a gas storage facility on the Kenai Peninsula.
