Women voters to meet
The League of Women Voters will meet at noon Friday at the Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. The featured speaker will be Max Best, a coastal coordinator/planner regarding the Coastal Management Plan. Participants are asked to bring a lunch. Coffee will be provided. It is open to the public.

Cribbage tourney continues
The Cook Inlet Lions will host its annual cribbage tournament at 3 p.m. Saturdays at the American Legion Post No. 20 on the corner of Cook and Main Streets in Kenai. It is open to the public.

T-200 seeks volunteers
The Tustumena-200 Sled Dog Race is seeking volunteers. Inside and outdoor activities, no experience is necessary. There will be a volunteer orientation meeting at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Tustumena Lodge in Kasilof.
The race will take place Jan. 25 and through Jan. 28.

Bowling tourney slated
The Soldotna-Kenai Women's Bowling Association invites all women bowlers who have a USBC membership card to compete in their city tournament Saturday and Sunday and Jan. 19 and 20. Applications are available at Alaska Lanes in Kenai.

Women invited to take a break
The January Take-a-break luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Solid Rock Conference Center.
Cindy Ingraham will teach participants how to make cards using regular household paper. Local country gospel composer, Miriam Humphries will sing and Sue Rohrer, wife, mother and grandmother from Kodiak, will share how the storms in her life went from balancing career and motherhood to a contented empty nester. The cost is $11 inclusive. Childcare will be provided.
