Governor to visit Kenai

The city of Kenai will host a reception for Gov. Sean Parnell at the Kenai Visitors Center today from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. Cookies and coffee will be provided.

More flu doses available

The Kenai Public Health Center received the regular annual influenza doses for age groups 4-years-old and older. Call the center for more information, at 335-3400.

Walk-in clinic hours are Mondays and Wednesdays at the Kenai Public Health Center from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays at the Cottonwood Clinic in Soldotna from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Community ping pong continues

Public ping pong is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Redoubt Elementary School.

Beluga whale presentation planned

A public presentation on the designation of critical habitat for Cook Inlet beluga whales will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium at Kenai Central High School. Brad Smith of the National Marine Fisheries Service will provide a public presentation on the Endangered Species Listing as well as the designation of Critical Habitat for Cook Inlet belugas.
