TALLINN, Estonia (AP) -- Muslims have announced plans to build the largest mosque in northern Europe and the first in this capital city, at an estimated cost of $3 million to $6 million.
Estonia, predominantly Lutheran and Russian Orthodox, has just a few thousand Muslims, mostly immigrants who came from Central Asia during its years under Soviet rule, which repressed most religious practice.
Officials didn't say when final approval would be given or how soon construction could begin.
