Forget-Me-Not thanks multiple contributors

The Forget-Me-Not Center would like to give Doyle's Fuel a big thank you for sponsoring our annual Christmas party. The sandwiches and fruit tray were delicious, and the cheesecakes were a big hit. All of the seniors were delighted with their flowers. Without Doyle's support, our holidays would not have been as joyous. Once again we thank them for being so supportive of our community throughout the year.

At this time, the center would like to thank all of its dedicated volunteers. We thank Dorothea McDonald, Helen Baranger and Pat Hamilton for coming once a week to help at the center. They bring a ray of sunshine, sharing their companionship, help and talents. Joyce Schuler is a welcome singer on Fridays, providing spiritual uplift by leading hymns. Thank you to Ralph Carpenter for playing the piano and leading us in some good old-time music during this summer. On Wednesdays, the Forget-Me-Not Band plays to a packed house, with the seniors inspired to dance. We thank them for this energizing experience.

We thank the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center hula dancers for entertaining us during our Hawaiian Days. Thank you to Bull Don and the Moose Nuggets for providing music for our holidays. Thanks to Krissy Mahan for providing us with entertainment throughout the year. The Central Peninsula Counseling Services' Girls Group was much appreciated for its efforts.

The Funny River Quilters delighted the seniors with gorgeous lap quilts to keep them warm this winter. The staff at Credit Union One gets a big thank you for putting on our annual garage sale. The funds earned boost the amount of activity supplies we have available and enhance what we do. We would like to thank all the members of the community who so generously give to the United Way. It makes it easier for a small nonprofit such as the center to raise needed funds.

And finally, we thank our seniors and their family members and other members of the community for supporting the center by donating needed supplies and items for our garage sale.

It is wonderful being a part of such a generous and supportive community. Thank you.
