Book donations for Bingo for Books will be appreciated. Books for fifth through eighth-graders are particularly needed.

Snacks will be sold during lunch on Mondays and Wednesday for grades fourth through sixth. Students need to bring money to buy snacks. They may not use money from their lunch accounts.

Congratulations to Evan Withrow and Delaney Love for placing first in the Elks Hoop Shoot competition at Soldotna Middle School.

The school's new parallel block schedule was implemented last week. This schedule decreases class size during peak instructional time and increases collaboration among teachers of similar grade levels. Students may choose to go outside for recess, or attend activities in the library or computer lab during their lunch recess. K-3 graders now eat lunch at 11:40 a.m. Fourth- through sixth-graders have lunch at 12:15 p.m. The complete new schedule appeared in last Friday's newsletter and is available on Edline.

Mr. Withrow's fitness calendar was sent home Friday.
