Students may wear their favorite pajamas to school for "Pajama Day" on Friday. Please make sure pajamas are appropriate for school and remember they will be going outside for recess.

Ms. Ralston's first-graders are back and working hard. This week in art we have a guest, artist Mrs. Harris. She showed the students several different pictures of famous mosaics and then the students created their own mosaics. The mosaics are

being displayed in the school hallway. For writing, the students wrote and illustrated their adventures over the holiday break. When they were finished they shared their stories with their peers. In science, the students started a new unit on day and night. There will be a large jar in the office to collect coins for the next two weeks. All donations will go to the Alaskan Red Cross with funds earmarked for the Asian disaster for tsunami relief. There will be a PTA meeting Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the library. Dr. Peterson, KPBSD superintendent, will be here to talk with the PTA and site council about how to select a new school principal for next year.
