Jeff King won the Copper Basin 300 on Monday with a time of 50 hours, 34 minutes.
King, who has won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race four times, held off Allen Moore of Two Rivers for the title and $3,000. Moore finished seven minutes behind King.
Five mushers with peninsula ties entered the race. As of early Monday night, the lone peninsula musher to cross the finish line on Tolsona Lake was Colleen Robertia of Kasilof. Robertia finished 15th.
