Social Security reps to visit peninsula

Social Security Administration representatives will be on the Kenai Peninsula from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Seward City Hall; from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kenai City Hall; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Homer Senior Citizens Center.

Soroptimists to meet

The Soroptimist International of the Twin Cities will host guest speaker Judy DeVito at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Peninsula Christian Center in Soldotna. Her topic of discussion is women's issues on heart diseases. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call Paula Rohloff at 260-4917.

Women's club plans brunch

The Kenai-Soldotna Christian Women's Club will hold a Take-A-Break brunch titled "Do It Yourself" from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 21 at the Solid Rock Conference Center. Karen Otter will "fix" appetites with delicious cakes; Ginger Mayer will "fix up" moods by singing; and Linda Stimaker will discuss how she tried to "do it herself" but then had to call "the professional." Rep. Wolf to hold town meeting

Rep. Kelly Wolf will hold a town hall meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Chambers. A legislative update will be given, and community members will have an opportunity to express their concerns. For more information, call Neal DuPerron at 283-2690.
