Christine Buschur and Bob Ermold were married July 29 in an afternoon ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna. Father Richard Tero officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Glena Buschur of Eagle River. She wore a white, satin gown and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies, accented with seashells. The bride's mother made the bouquet.
The maid of honor was Letticia Kersten of Anchorage. The bridesmaids were Cathy Zorbas of Kenai; Jen Findlay of Henderson, N.Y., Heather Buschur, niece of the bride, of Anchorage, Susan Edwards, sister of the groom, of Horseheads, N.Y., and Renee Edwards, niece of the groom, of Horseheads. They wore periwinkle gowns and carried flowers with seashells and pearls.
The groom is the son of Bob and Bev Ermold of Elmira Heights, N.Y.
The best man was Greg Zorbas of Kenai. The groomsmen were Dennis Edwards, groom's brother-in-law, of Horseheads, Tom Gil, Dr. Mark Shaw, Denny Roy and Dan Mustico, all of Elmira.
The wedding reception theme was fishing, since Bob proposed by putting Christine's ring in a fishing lure box. The reception site was decorated with fish and seashells. Amy Jahrig of Kenai was the guest book attendant.
Christine is a 1993 graduate of Chugiak High School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a fifth-grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary School in Kenai.
Bob graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Elmira Heights in 1985 and received a degree in education from the University of Mansfield, Pa. He is employed as a special education teacher at Skyview High School in Soldotna.
The couple will honeymoon in the Florida Keys in May. They live in Soldotna.
