ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Mike Modano scored two goals to lead the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night.

Ed Belfour, who recently criticized coach Ken Hitchcock for his frequent use of backup Marty Turco, made 25 saves and had a shutout for 2 1/2 periods.

The Wild lost for just the second time in seven games, failing to create any strong scoring chances for most of the game despite outshooting the Stars 26-16.

Lightning 2, Thrashers 2

ATLANTA -- Fredrik Modin scored a power-play goal with 12 minutes remaining in the third period as Tampa Bay rallied to tie Atlanta.

The Thrashers, who had their two-game winning streak snapped, dominated play in overtime, but failed to convert several scoring chances.

Patrik Stefan and Ilya Kovalchuk scored second-period goals for the Thrashers.

Dave Andreychuk scored in the second period for the Lightning, who snapped their two-game losing streak.
