Students are invited on a field trip to H2Oasis in Anchorage at 10 a.m. Friday. The cost is $8 for students ages 3 to 12, and $11 for those 13 and older. To sign up, call the office at 262-6315.

This is the last week to do DIBELS-CBM testing for students in kindergarten through third grade. Call the office to schedule an appointment.

Test prep and-or testing materials are available to order at the office. Some materials need to be ordered now for arrival before February test dates.

State assessment testing will be the third week of February. Students in grades three, six and eight take the Benchmarks; those in grades four, five, seven and nine take the Terra Nova; and 10th- through 12th-graders take the High School Graduation Qualifying Exam, if they have not already passed it.

The Analytic Writing Assessment will be offered the week of Jan. 26. Call the office to schedule the test time.

First semester reports are due Friday.

The spelling bee will be at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 24. It is open to any home-school student in grades three through eighth. Contact the office by Jan. 26 to participate.

The Reading Carnival will be from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Soldotna Middle School gym. There will be games, storytelling, stage performances, a book fair and guest readers.
