After Christmas break, the students at Kalifonsky Christian School are getting back to work. Mrs. East's preschool through second-grade class will follow Stanley Lamb Chop's (a flat story book character) travels around the world. He is starting his journey to the United Kingdom and being sent around the globe while the student track his journey on a world map.

Mrs. Pribbenow's third through fifth-grade class will make their own books. This project includes writing their stories, printing the pages and making the covering as well as the bindings.

Mr. Toliver's sixth- through eighth-grade class is studying for its final history test. Some students are struggling to catch up on schoolwork before the end of the quarter. Next quarter, his students are starting a movie-making class.

This week at Kalifonsky Christian School, the church is celebrating Spiritual Life Week, where the students will be able to participate in revival meetings at 10:30 a.m. through Sunday. Parents and friends are welcome to attend.

The end of the second quarter for the 2003-04 school year is Friday. There will be no school Friday and Monday.

Students celebrating January birthdays are Kalie Nelson on Jan. 2, Jeffrey Peterson on Jan. 8 and David Peterson today.
