Cooper, Bonaventure marry in Anchorage
Valley Cooper and Dominique Bonaventure were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at the Anchor Park United Methodist Church in Anchorage. Pastor John Campbell officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Terry Cooper of Ninilchik. She wore a white, off-the-shoulder gown.
The groom is the son of Dominique and Monique Bonaventure of Corsica, France. He wore a tuxedo.
The maid of honor was Erin Ortman. The bridesmaids were Terry Cooper and Lee Ann Cooper. They wore black dresses.
The best man was Arlis Ortman. The groomsmen were Robert Winter and Hunter Cooper.
The flower girl was Tatiana Cooper, the bride’s niece.
A reception was held at the campus den at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Lynzie Ellis and Miles Jorgensen
Ellis, Jorgensen wed in Anchorage
Lynzie Ellis and Miles D. Jorgensen were married at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Anchorage. J. L. McCarrey III officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Larry D. and Karen C. Ellis of Kenai. She is a 2004 graduate of Nikiski High School. She finished a dental assistant program at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and is employed at a dental office in Orem, Utah. She wore a white gown with pearl beadwork on the bodice and hem.
The groom is the son of Gale and Rebecca Jorgensen of Nikiski. He is a 2004 graduate of Nikiski High School. He is attending Utah Valley State College majoring in technology management with a minor in building construction, and currently works on a construction crew.
Tiffany Ley, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a blue glitter dress and carried a single white rose with silver glitter. The bridesmaids were Kyla Jorgensen, sister of the groom, and Samantha Pyfer. They wore blue glitter dresses and carried single white glitter roses.
The best man was Benjamin Quesnel. The groomsmen were Makenzie Jorgensen, brother of the groom, and Casey Ellis, brother of the bride.
A ring ceremony and reception were held at the LDS Chapel in Kenai on Dec. 30, 2006.
Holly Heselius and Carlos Fabrow Jr.
Heselius, Fabrow marry in Texas
Holly Heselius of Soldotna and Carlos Fabrow Jr. of Dallas were married in an evening ceremony Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake in Texas. Jimmie Pompa, the groom’s uncle, officiated.
The couple became engaged in New York in October 2005.
The bride is the daughter of Woody and Sharon Heselius, who escorted their daughter down the isle. She was born and raised in Soldotna and is a 1995 graduate of Soldotna High School. Holly is employed at CBS Television in Dallas. She wore a wore a silk white mermaid-style gown and carried a bouquet of white and pale pink roses with white calla lilies.
Allison Daugherty of Vail, Colo. and a 1995 graduate of SoHi, was the maid of honor. Tricia Elder Hanson of Soldotna, also a 1995 graduate of SoHi, Amanda McLarnan, Brandy Chavarria and Adrienne Fabrow of Dallas served as bridesmaids.
The groom is the son of Carlos and Manuela Fabrow of Lake Dallas, Texas. Carlos was born and raised in the Dallas area and is employed by U.S. First Energy in Dallas. He wore a black suit with a silk white and black striped tie. Alex Chavarria of Lewisville, Texas, was the best man. Jorge Chavarria, Anthony D’Angelo and Leonard DeLuna of Lewisville and Cody Heselius and Garrett Heselius of Soldotna, the bride’s brothers, served as groomsmen.
Brienna Fabrow, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.
The wedding party reception was held at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake.
