GLENNALLEN (AP) -- Canadian mushers finished in the top three spots of the Copper Basin 300 Sled Dog Race on Monday.
Hans Gatt of Atlin, British Columbia, crossed the finish line at 11:08 a.m.
William Kleedehn of Carcross, Yukon Territory, finished second nearly an hour later at 12:03 p.m.
Thomas Tetz of Tagish, Yukon Territory, reached the finish line at 12:34 p.m. to finish was third.
The 300-mile race, an Iditarod Trial Sled Dog Race qualifier used by many mushers to tune up their teams for the big race in early March, takes mushers from Glennallen to Chistochina to Summit Lake to Lake Louise and back to Glennallen.
Gatt took home $12,000 for winning the race.
