Ninilchik resident Lyle Psick died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, after a long battle with cancer. He was 66.
A memorial mass was held Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna.
Mr. Psick was born July 28, 1935, in Duluth, Minn. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army in 1953. He was honorably discharged in 1956.
He was a truck driver in the Teamsters Union until retiring in 1994. He loved hunting, camping, fishing and traveling in his motor home.
"He was a good man who never said a bad word of anyone, and will be truly missed," his family said.
Mr. Psick is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy Psick of Ninilchik; sons Gary, Paul, Larry and Mark; sister, Leora Skane; stepsons Ed and Pamela Greenhalgh of Soldotna and Ray Greenhalgh of North Kenai; stepdaughter, Ruth Lawton of Florida; grandchildren Richard Greenhalgh of Soldotna, Traci Lee, Trina Hall, Travis Greenhalgh, Raymond and Jason Greenhalgh and Michelle and Melissa Lawton all of North Kenai; and many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Psick family, P.O. Box 702, Kenai, AK 99611.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
