The International Arctic Winter Games site committee will visit Kenai and Soldotna Friday to inspect and evaluate the Kenai Peninsula's ability to host the 2006 games.
The six-person selection committee will arrive at the Kenai airport at 10:15 a.m. From there, the committee will spend the day touring Kenai and Soldotna schools and athletic facilities.
Interested community members can show support for the peninsula's bid to host the games by attending the 10:45 a.m. welcoming ceremony, which will be held at the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium at Kenai Central High School.
