USDA rep to speak today at chamber

Mitch Michaud of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services will speak to the Kenai Chamber of Commerce at its weekly meeting at noon today at Paradisos. The cost of the meeting and luncheon is $10.50, and it is open to the public. For more information, call 283-7989.

Social Security rep to visit peninsula

A representative from the Social Security Administration will visit various sites on the Kenai Peninsula this week. The representative will be at Kenai City Hall from noon to 4 p.m. today and at the Homer Senior Citizens Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. For more information, call (800) 772-1213.

Church to present dinner theater

The Aurora Heights Assembly of God will present an evening of dining and drama Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. Cost is $15, and a choice of Corninsh game hen or halibut will be offered. For more information, call 776-8723.

Chamber awards planned

The annual Kenai Chamber of Commerce Town and Gown awards ceremony will be held Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center. Tickets are $30 each. For more information or to reserve tickets, call the chamber at 335-HOOK (4665).

KMS students to raffle off boat

Kenai Middle School students are selling tickets to raffle off their 15-foot handmade drift boat. Tickets are $25 each and are available from KMS boat builders or at the school office.
