Dustin W. Langston died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Cooper Landing. He was 20.
A public viewing will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, followed by a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at the Kenai Moose Lodge.
Mr. Langston was born Nov. 19, 1983, in Soldotna. He attended school in Anchorage and Nikiski. He enjoyed commercial fishing with his uncle Tom for salmon and halibut and was looking forward to his next halibut trip in the spring. He liked to sport fish, hunt and camp with his friends. He also enjoyed reading and drawing.
"He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends," his family said.
He is survived by his mother, Frankie Yost of Ariz.; father, Glenn Langston of Soldotna; grandparents, Nadine Langston of South Dakota and Floyd Langston of Arizona; his aunts and uncles, Tom and Becky Flynn of Nikiski, Rob Yost of Eagle River, Terry and Frank Mellor of California, Patty Tincher of Soldotna, Jan Stephens of Kenai, Darral and Teresa Langston of Nikiski and RaeAnn Langston of Florida; cousins, Reid "Gruff" Flynn, Jordyn Flynn and Tamara Flynn, all of Nikiski, Robert Yost of Anchorage, April Kaufman and Lindsey Kaufman of Soldotna, Brian Stephens and Salley Stephens of Kenai, Elizabeth Root of Girdwood, Tiffiney Britton of Texas, Bo Collinsworth and his family of Arizona, Dr. John Crouch of Minnesota, Patrick Cates and his family of Nevada, Cathy Brown and her family of Utah, and Greg Brown, Josh Brown and Trinity Langston of Nikiski; and godchildren Braylin and Prestin Miller and their parents, Forest and Wendy Miller of Kenai.
