Senior service area board to meet

The Nikiski Senior Service Area board will meet Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Nikiski Senior Center. For more information, call 776-7654.

Fish and game advisory committee to meet

The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game advisory committee will meet Jan. 23 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Committee recommendations to the Alaska Board of Fisheries regarding early-run Kenai River king salmon will be discussed. For more information, call Bob Merchant at 283-9447.

Clean boating tide books available

Cook Inlet Keeper is offering free 2003 tide books featuring 16 pages of clean boating tips. Tide books are available at numerous area businesses or can be picked up at Cook Inlet Keeper's office, 3734 Ben Walters Lane in Homer. For more information, call (907) 235-4068.

Bear activity seminar planned

The Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward will present a seminar titled, "How Are Bears Responding to Human Activity in Kenai Fjords National Park?" Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. The seminar is free. For more information, call (907) 224-6311.

Cardiac patient reunion planned

Central Peninsula General Hospital will hold a reunion for past and present cardiac patients Feb. 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Paradisos.
