Adam Cardwell and Luke Salazar each scored two goals and Mike Jarboe denied all 23 shots that came his way as Wichita Falls blanked visiting Kenai River, 6-0, on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats, currently in possession of the second-best record (25-11-1) in the North American Hockey League and first place in the South division, extended their winning streak to four games while simultaneously handing the Brown Bears their fourth loss in a row.
Kenai River, now 8-21-6 and in last place in the South division, owns the worst mark in the NAHL.
And it didn't get any better on Tuesday.
Cardwell (two assists) and Salazar each lit the lamp in the first period as the Wildcats jumped in front and never looked back. Skylur Jameson and former Brown Bear Mike Sturdevant each scored in the second and Cardwell and Salazar both scored again in the third as the Wildcats outshot the Brown Bears, 38-23.
Kenai River goalie Matt Wichorek turned away 32-of-35 shots.
