Judges' efforts appreciated
We would like to acknowledge and thank the ladies who gave of their time and expertise to serve as judges for this year's Creative Patriotic Art Program sponsored by our VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Jerry V. Horn Post 10046, namely, Melinda Hershberger, Ami Rediski and I.N. Gabbett. Your help was greatly appreciated.

Energy issues to dominate 2010 legislative session
The 2010 legislative session kicks off Tuesday in Juneau, and assuming lawmakers stick to the 90-day session limit set out in state law, adjournment will come April 18.

Let's keep our eyes on Juneau
The second session of the 26th Alaska State Legislature begins Tuesday.

Public health center closes for holiday

SoHi girls cruise: Stars claim Kenai Klassic championship
Five of Soldotna's girls cross-country skiers finished in the top 11 in the 7.5-kilometer race Friday to help the Stars claim the 2010 Kenai Klassic title. Palmer won the boys title.

Soldotna earns split with Valley
One big scoring performance was not enough on Friday for the host Soldotna girls and boys basketball teams against Colony in Northern Lights Conference action. The Stars girls and boys rebounded on Saturday by sweeping Palmer.
