Lori Lynn Sarchet
Longtime Kasilof resident Lori Lynn Sarchet died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She was 50.
A celebration of life and a potluck will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Decanter Inn. All family and friends are invited to attend.
Ms. Sarchet was born Jan. 22, 1954, in Harbor Bay, Mich. She moved to Alaska in 1976 and resided in Kasilof. She worked as a cook at Carrs Oriental Express.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with her grandson, spending time with family and friends and baking.
"She was loved by many and will greatly be missed. You are forever in our hearts," her family said.
Ms. Sarchet was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur.
She is survived by her son, Scott Sarchet and his fiancee, Caron Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Sean Lucas; grandson, Joshua Blackburn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tami and David Nab, Brenda and Monte Moreno and Yvette and Ernie Rodriguez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Bailey, Randy and Rose Bailey, Marty and Vicki Bailey; nieces and nephews; her mother, Beatrice; and extended family member, Donny Halstead.
The family requests donations to be sent to them at 167 N. Birch Space 21, Soldotna, AK 99669. All monies received will be split and donated to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
