Richard W. Bogard
Sterling resident Richard W. Bogard died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at home of a heart attack. He was 77.
No services are planned.
He was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Oregon. He lived in Seward from 1941 to 1965, then moved to the Sterling area.
“As a result of heart failure, he died peacefully and quickly, surrounded by his immediate family,” his family said.
Mr. Bogard was preceded in death by his daughter, Troya Bogard.
He is survived by his wife, Lotte Bogard of Sterling; son, Robin Bogard, daughter-in-law, Gretchen Bogard and their five children, all of Nikiski; and daughter, Esther Landeis, son-in-law, Greg Landeis and their three children, all of Sterling.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
