Skyview loses two in roadtrip
Friday
Palmer 4, Skyview 3
Saturday
Colony 4, Skyview 3
The Skyview Panthers hockey team dropped two games this weekend while traveling, losing to Palmer 4-3 on Friday, and to Colony 4-2 on Saturday.
Panther headcoach Pete Iverson said the team is frustrated because it is losing to competition he said they should be able to handle.
"Our team is playing well, but we keep losing these games by 1 or 2 goals," he said. "Every team that is beating us are teams we can beat."
Friday against Palmer, the Moose had Skyview down by three goals halfway through the third period when a Palmer player struck Gabe Feldman on the head with a stick. Fellman was knocked out and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released.
"After that, the kids were fired up," Iverson said. "We came back and scored two goals, and would've tied if we had another minute."
Against Colony, the Panthers took 15 shots to the Knight's 25. Iverson said the Panthers had good performances from Fellman and freshmen Nelson Kemp and Paddy Iverson.
